This is not a new blog. This is a continuation of a blog I started in 2012. I have chosen to move it for a few reasons. I used the previous blog to have electronic documentation of my abusive ex's continued harassment.  A lot has changed since then, I finally feel safe. I do say that lightly because I was safe once before for several years before he found me again.  2020 is a new chapter for me. I am moving forward to reach a new goal. 

I hope you enjoy this new format.

Please remember, everything I share is real, sometimes, I do change people's name to protect their privacy.  I sometimes change their name, so they don't sue me. :)

Now I know why he was mean to me

  A couple of weeks ago, I learned some interesting information. A former supervisor, who was not kind to me because, in his eyes, I was deemed a horrible woman for being a childless, unmarried woman. For some reason, he felt the need to constantly put me down because my views did not align with his. He believed all women were put on this planet to serve their husbands and bear their children. Anyway, I learned that this man has been living a lie. He is actually gay and only married with children because the church told him to. Years ago, I remember this man giving thousands of dollars to support Proposition 8 in California, which was a state constitutional amendment stating that heterosexual marriage is the only kind of real marriage. Now, he is admitting that he is attracted to men and is going to stay married because he believes he can pray the gay away. So, maybe he was mean to me because he has never been able to live as his authentic self.

 I am still processing this. First thoughts... shocked about the racism they experienced disgusted sad angry hatred All of my feelings right now are not positive about this situation. Well, I guess I am thrilled they are having a little girl and I am optimistic that they will get their happily ever after.

In the past 30 days, I have become my own handyman and tech person. I have hung up pictures and shelves, put together cabinets, and changed an air filter. This is the first time I have ever seen an air filter in the ceiling and the unit itself.   I became my own tech person when my laptop died. Yep, it crashed.  Finally, I gave up and purchased a new one.  Yeah, that wasn't cheap.  I spent a total of about five hours on the phone with Cox and three techs to get the TV box to work. The problem Cox rep didn't hit an activation button. I was super annoyed, but glad it finally worked. I am still unpacking boxes and there are a lot of boxes. It is so different to close from a ranch to a multilevel home.  I get tired of climbing fourteen stairs to just go get something.  Another difference is going from a closed layout to an open layout, limits the number of walls, you have to hang stuff on, but on the plus side there is more natural light, which I love. ...
