Time to get caught on neighborhood drama and current events

Image
Yes, this is going to be one messy post—just tossing everything into one. Sorry, but also not sorry. Doing what works for me. Okay, so let’s go. Update on neighbor Dick Head (No, his name is not Richard Head. I have to admit I laughed way too hard when someone actually asked me that.) No drama this week about where I could place my trash cans. I have to admit, I never imagined I’d enrage someone over trash can placement. Dude, it’s trash —get over it. Anyway, one of his trash cans remains in the street, which is a total violation. But hey, I’m not turning you in. I’ll let another Karen handle that, because we all know it’s just a matter of time. Oh my goodness , I’m sure by now everyone’s seen the news about CEO Andy Byron getting caught having an affair at a Coldplay concert. Seriously? That has to be one of the dumbest moves ever—bringing the side chick to a concert in this day and age? I hope his wife gets one hell of a settlement. This week , Kohlberg will be sentenced for kill...

Garbage Cans Drama Continues

Image
So, my neighbor continues to be a pita (pain in the ass) over where I can park and where I can place my garage cans. Since my neighbors and I do not know his name is he is being referred lovingly as Mr. Dickhead. I think going forward in this blog I will refer to him as DH.  Here is the latest.... Called code enforcement where can I legally place my trash cans without earning a ticket. Her reply was in where on the street as long as it doesn't interfere with eh flow of traffic. Well, that seems easy enough. We chatted about why I would be asking such as odd question. Well, the reason is that DH is parked too close to my driveway, and I cannot put them out.  Fun fact... the city ordinance is that no one can park within five feet of my driveway without my permission. Ok, so I could call the police and have him ticketed, but when I looked down the street and see others doing the same things, I do not want them to get ticket too, so I passed on calling the police. The reason...

The Koch Family and my neighbor

I did not personally know any member of the Koch family.  For those of you who have no clue who/what I am talking about, here is the link to the story. https://tucson.com/news/nation-world/article_e3ffdfc6-f6a7-5c41-aa49-3db0115c5df9.html There is an error in the article, it states that the last post Bailey made was on May 8th. The last post was on May 9th.  Here is the link https://www.facebook.com/anchoringhopeformentalhealth/ Here is a link to Bailey's obituary. https://www.reynoldslovefuneralhome.com/obituaries/bailey-koch Did she do the right thing by not taking Jeremy back to the hospital on May 8th? I do not know. I am not an expert in mental health. I read a comment posted by a mental health expert who did not treat Jeremy that Bailey made a bad decision not to take more steps to protect herself and her children in March when he stood over her with a knife. In Bailey's posts, she said she had taken him to get help, so the mental care professionals were aware...

Juvi heads back to court

I have verified this with the courts.   He is facing two counts of criminal mischief. One count of third-degree domestic violence. One count of shoplifting.   Maybe this time he will get jail time. I guess time will tell.   Oh, and over the weekend I heard that the police paid Juvi a visit to his home because of a domestic disturbance.   I have not verified this myself with the police.   So, I must go on what I was told.

Crazy neighbors or HOA drama?

Another question I have received asks if I have any stories about the crazy HOA or crazy neighbors. Here is what I know about my previous HOA. They are still fighting. A fight broke out at the annual board meeting a couple of months ago and the police had to be called to break it up.   Remember the neighbor who would not respect my boundary of social distancing during covid? Well, she did get covid and was very sick, but did not require hospitalization. Even after this experience she continued to make fun of those who took the pandemic seriously. I do currently reside in a neighborhood with an HOA and neighbors that are close by, but I don’t have any outrageous stories to share. Sorry! No drama here, it is peaceful.   My neighbors are friendly. One is a retired police officer, so she keeps an eye on our street. She jokes she doesn’t miss much on her corner. The one next door neighbor travels a lot, she is retired, and I rarely see her. For the past several wee...

Update on Juvi

Since, I have resumed this blog. I have been asked about any udpates on Juvi. Okay for those of you who don’t remember Juvi, below is a short descrption. He became my neighbor in 2015. His mother purchased the property, moved him in with a young girl, while she continued to live in a neighboring town. At the time, he was 15 years old.   Yes, him and his girlfriend were playing house. His drug dealing brother, who was in his twenties, also moved into the neighborhood and purchased a couple of properties. In the end the family owned four properties and there were two drug busts during the time they were my neighbors. Juvi used marijuana frequently; the smell was unbearable. It was also believed he was selling drugs because lots of people were in and out of the home at all times of the day and night. Not one of the people stayed more than a couple of minutes. Sometimes, they would have a handshake in the front yard and then the seller would check his hand before handing t...

Update on the old HOA and Juvi

Once in a while I get questions about what is going at where I used to live. I only know bits and pieces. I will share what I do know. I am thankful that my new neighborhood is not as active as my last one. While the last one gave me lots of blog material, it was so stressful to live in. How do I know what is going on in my neighborhood? Well, people tell me stuff and then if I want to repeat it, I research it to see if it is true. On Jan 1st HOA dues went up 5%.  Dues normally go up 1% each year. 5% seems like a huge increase. I live in a neighborhood with an HOA, but I don't know if they went up because I am a renter not a homeowner. I know you all love a good Juvi update.  Here is what I know. He now has a son. Juvi's court date in Oct had to be rescheduled because of his son's arrival. It was rescheduled. He must have pleaded guilty or was found guilty because he has a PSI court date in a couple of weeks. I still don't know what he did. I could find out by calling ...

Silver Colored Car

A four door silver colored Toyota sedan sits in front of my home. I don't own the car. I am not entirely sure where the owner lives.  The car is older, it is four door with a couple of dents, it might be a car from the 1990s, it looks like a Corolla, and it has fuzzy black dice hanging from the rearview mirror. Anyway, I wonder how much longer it will be parked in front of my home because it seems to make it way between my home and the community mailboxes every couple of weeks. I don't know where the owner lives. I saw a Caucasian ( Race is only being used as a descriptive term) woman get in it once. I watched her drive it around the block and then park it in front of the mail boxes.

Animal Control pays me a visit

I have had two dogs in my life and this was the first time that I was paid a visit from Animal Control because of a noise complaint.  Here is what happened: I was finishing up eating my lunch and the doorbell rang. I didn't get up because I was expecting a package from FedEx and I thought that it was FedEx. After I finished eating my lunch, putting the dishes in the dishwasher, and wipe off the counter, I decided that I would retrieve my package. I looked out the glass window near the front door and saw an officer. Stunned, I opened the door and asked, "Is there something I can help you with?"  He began to inform me that there had been two noise complaints because my dog was barking excessively. I was shocked. My dog is almost 12 years old and not once has anyone complained about her barking.  The conversation continued to include that I had broken the law by not licensing her.  I quickly was able to put that nonsense to rest. I showed him the paperwork and her licen...
