I did not personally know any member of the Koch family.
For those of you who have no clue who/what I am talking about, here is the link to the story.

There is an error in the article, it states that the last post Bailey made was on May 8th. The last post was on May 9th. Here is the link https://www.facebook.com/anchoringhopeformentalhealth/
Here is a link to Bailey's obituary.

Did she do the right thing by not taking Jeremy back to the hospital on May 8th? I do not know. I am not an expert in mental health.
I read a comment posted by a mental health expert who did not treat Jeremy that Bailey made a bad decision not to take more steps to protect herself and her children in March when he stood over her with a knife. In Bailey's posts, she said she had taken him to get help, so the mental care professionals were aware that he did have homicidal thoughts. I wonder if there was something more that they were required to do, such as notifying law enforcement.
I also read a comment by a community member who said that Bailey took her husband out of the hospital against doctors' advice because she wanted him present at their oldest son's high school graduation. Once again, I do not know if this accurate or not.
This is what I do know...
This is a tragedy and has impacted how I look at those with mental illness.
I have a neighbor who I believe is mentally ill. Why? Well, he is constantly doing odd things to provoke people and another neighbor mentioned he has PTSD because of the military.
He moved in about 9 months ago.
Him and his family seemed different, but not bad people.
He seems odd because he keeps the garage door down at all times. None of the cars are in the garage. When he comes home with groceries, he walks around the side of his house, opens his gate to the backyard and takes them in the house that way. The charging cord for the Tesla is left in the driveway and is never placed inside the garage.
Another odd behavior is he sits in his truck for hours watching people at night. I had heard from a neighbor that she observed it on her security camera. I came home after dark one night and saw him doing that. Another night I came home, and he was sitting on the driveway behind his Tesla and in front of the garage door. He did not appear to be doing anything but staring off in space.
I have been told, by others who have witnessed his behavior that he starts yelling at people for their dog barking. He has a dog too that barks. There are 3 dogs in a row that bark. His, another neighbor's and my dog.
He leans over the concrete wall and watches his neighbors in their backyards.
Him and the neighbor on the one side of him got into a disagreement because he parked where she needed to put her trash cans out. So, now he parks so I cannot put out my trash cans.
In addition to preventing me from putting my trash cans out, no one can park in front of my house because he is now parking his truck right there.
One day I did park in front of house for a short time, and I came home to find him parallel parked in front of my car with about an inch to spare. I was shocked. I was looking at the front of my car, and his wife who was near the fence of their backyard was watching me. I did not do or say anything, I backed and parked my car back in my driveway.
I am not sure if this man has homicidal tendencies like Jeremy, but I do not want to take my chances. I do my best to avoid him. I try not to go out of my way to aggravate him. Yesterday, I parked across the street. I think I might have had some room to park in front of my home without hitting his trash can. Oh, one of his trash cans has been place in front of home since pick up day. The other one is up garage door. Why is doing his? I do not know. He is odd.
