I don’t have super powers

Yep, sadly it is true…. Katie doesn't know all.

I don’t know why you owe the state  $1000 in taxes. Please don’t call me and ask. Please call your tax professional.

Please also don’t call me and ask where your stimulus check is or if we are going to get anymore stimulus money.  Please call the IRS.

Please Proofread

Smoking Man has been sending out a daily email.  Each day, I get to point out that there is a problem. This morning I did add “BTW Good Morning;” so I am not all bad. The problems with the emails are that they don't have an attachment or have the wrong attachment. He could easily solve this problem if he would proofread the document before hitting send.  I would suggest it, but heck he would probably yell at me!!

Sad News

Earlier in the week, an email sent out, notified us that one of our own passed away. The cause of death has not been revealed. I started receiving messages from people in another department asking if the information was true. After confirming the information, I looked at the email because I didn’t know why they didn’t know.  The email was only sent out to a select group. It is hard to know who to include and who not to include at a time like this.  No one was purposely left out. I didn’t like sharing the information with others, but I did do it.  I don’t like giving sad news, so I don’t know how well I did.

Eight-ball Prediction

I picked up the Eight-ball and it said, “Outlook not Good.”  Oh no, I don’t need a repeat of Tuesday. That day stunk!!

I shook it again and turned it over, read “Concentrate and Try Again.” 

I did as I was told. I really hoped the third time would be the only answer, I wanted and it was, “Outlook Good.” I hope this means today will be a good day and no one will yell at me for the next couple of hours. I only have two hours left of my shift.

Another slow day.. How do I entertain myself?

I finished another book written by Jen Lancaster. If you read any of her books, make sure you have an Urban Dictionary nearby. My recommendation is if you blush easily, don’t look any of it up, just make up your own definition and move on.

Boring day

I helped less than 20 people.

No one in leadership yelled at me.

No one from the public yelled at me.

No one from the public asked me to break federal law.

Yes, it was a boring day, but a good day!
