I have traded dealing with the public for with dealing with my crazy HOA

What is worse the public or the HOA drama? Honestly, I am not sure.  One benefit to dealing with HOA is that I am not called names.

Some of the neighbors are bickering with the HOA.  I missed a lot of this when I was gone everyday at work. Has it always been this bad? My understanding is that the daytime bickering started when people started working from home.  People are also home more so more people are noticing the upkeep around here and starting to question where is our money going.

Last night, I went to a home improvement store. Yes, I really went into the store.  I needed a light plate cover and a new furnace filter. While I was there, I bumped into my next door neighbor. She let me know that the only people she likes in our neighborhood are her hubby,  the clingy neighbor, and me. She said that many of our neighbors watch us and talk about us behind our backs.  I know they do it, but I don't care.

Today, I have the windows opened and the blinds shut. Why close the blinds on a gorgeous day? So, I don't have to see the ongoing drug deals, and ongoing nonsese.  Yesterday, the son of Angry Woman, spray painted the curbs with white paint. He didn't clean off the flaking paint first. He just shook up the aerosol can and sprayed it over the paint, then bushed with his shoe.  Yes, his shoe. I don't know how his shoe helped.  The paint job was very sloppy when he ended his job.   Today,  there was a disturbance, it didn't last long, but there were raised voices for a short time, I didn't even move to see what was going on because I am so tired of all of the fighting.
