new city, new sate, new home
Moving is a pain. I dislike moving, but I am excited to start this new chapter of my life.
So far I have learned where a few things are such as the gas station, Walmart, Target, Bed, Bath and Beyond, Whole Foods, and other places.
Moving doesn't mean that I have stopped being careful to protect myself from Covid. I quarantined for two weeks after arriving. I am happy to report that after traveling through multiple states, I arrived without contracting the virus.I still order all items online and pick them up by contactless pick up or have them delivered to the house.
I did go into a couple of stores today. Why? I had to return an item. I had to look for something that I couldn't order online. It was very odd to be in store because it has been a long time. It felt good to walk through a store, but I was also very scared.
Things are being done differently here. Per the state and local government orders, masks are required. The one store I went into, police were outside to ensure everyone was abiding by the mask rule.
Other differences here....
Gas is expensive. Gas is around $2.25 per gallon.
Most days there are not any clouds in the sky.
Similar things...
prices on groceries
$5.99/lb for hamburger
$.85/pepper
$.98/lb for bananas
