People think before you post on social media
There is a person who I follow on social media, who is a mess. Okay, maybe that isn't nice, but it is what I feel. Why do I feel she is a mess? She has been given every opportunity to do well and makes poor decisions. Confused? Okay, let me give you more details.
She doesn't have to pay rent because she lives in a home owned by her mother-in-law.
She was able to go to college and not pay for it. She got an associates degree.
She doesn't pay for medical insurance. She has posted publicly that she has Medicaid. She recently had surgery and bragged that she didn't have to pay anything for it.
Everything in her life is a disaster. A couple of months ago, she said she had to have this major surgery and would be in the hospital for at least a week and off work for three months. She was in the hospital overnight and kept posting the whole time. She had some time of a fatty tumor removed. Recently, her mother was rushed to the hospital and she was sure she would die. Her mother's blood sugar was low and she was released within a few hours.
She doesn't work steadily. In the past five years, she has had at least seven different jobs that I know of. Why doesn't she keep a job? Well, she gets one, doesn't like what they ask her to do so she quits. For example, she got a job where her husband was working at the time. She was super excited. She said she would save on gas because they could ride together. She said the hours were better. She said she would have more family time. Then on day 1, her boss asked her to do something she didn't want to do, so she quit. I wonder how she keeps getting job interviews. She is out looking for work again. She has had one job interview this week and another scheduled for next week. If anyone looks at her social media account, they won't hire her because of her posts. She posted horrible things about a place she interviewed with; she wrote that they were yahoos. Some of her other posts leave one shaking their head.
First, she posted that people shouldn't post pictures of Christmas trees with lots of packages because some people cannot afford presents for their children.
Next, she posted that she got all of her kids Christmas presents through charity.
Finally, she posted that she was upset that she couldn't spend Christmas in Disneyland because it was closed.
If I was a hiring manager and she interviewed for a job, I wouldn't hire her.
